そして松山に　～その３

　おなかも一杯になりホテルで解散。
　明日は朝8時から動きまくるのだ。
　部屋に戻り……　いや、ホテルのフロントにLANケーブルを借りに行かねば、と戻ってみる。
　んが、ケーブルを借りた後なぜか宇和島の町を放浪することに。
　でもなんにもないんだよねーーーー。

　バーがあれば飲んでもいいんだけど、あるのはスナックとかラウンジとかいうものばかりで扉の内側からはカラオケの声が漏れてたりして。
　そこかしこですれ違う若い人たちも「スナック●●」というところに吸い込まれているし。なんだかなぁ。
　あと、自転車で飲みに着ている人が多いのも印象的でございました。

　コンビニでもあれば関東圏にはない雑誌とか読めるんだけどなぁ、と探しまくってみるも何もなし。
　唯一それらしいのがこの「ヤマシタサンヨードー」
　とりあえずビールでも買って帰るか。
　
　…とあきらめかけていたら、バーっぽい看板が目に付いたので入ってみることに。
　CHICというお店でした。

　内装はというとそれなりにがんばっている感じ。
　お、レコードまわしてるじゃんかさ。
　バックバーにはRare moltシリーズとかコノサーズ・チョイスが並んでいる。花と動物とかも当たり前に。
　もしかしたら期待できるかも…　とジンフィズを頼んでみる。
　店内はカウンター6席とテーブルが大小あわせて15席くらいか。
　テーブル席の若い人たちがお勘定をして出て行く。
　あとはカウンターにへばりついているおじさんと二人っきり。

　程なくして出てきたジンフィズは……
　「宇和島には炭酸はないのか！」といういただけなさ。ジンのレモン水割りがいらはりました。
　うーーむ。

　雰囲気のよさにあきらめきれずに「ロウランドありますか？」と聞いてみるとどうやらないみたい。
　しょぼん。
　仕方なくマンハッタンを頼んでみる。（ここでネタ師決定ですな）
　えーっと、東京基準で言うと「ぬるーい＆あまーい」ですが、地方で言えばかなり美味しい部類でございます。

　いや、なんといいますか、例えばこの www.authenticbar.com に入っているようなバーは、作っている自分で言うのもなんですが日本でも有数のバーなわけなんですよ。
　そこを忘れちゃいけないのです。

　なんとはなく店主さんとお話が始まる。
　どうやら昔は六本木のバーにいたらしい。
　突っ込んでみると、現「酒友」旧「ザ･バー」の隣のビルの地下にあった「ステップ」にいたらしいのです。
　へーーー。
　14年前に出身地の宇和島に戻ってきて開店したのだとかで、逆算するとザ･バーには行ってた時代だから……　などという話で無駄に盛り上がってしまう。
　Novaグループで仙台をオープンしてて麻布十番に……　とかいう話だけでワンホップなのは必至なわけで、うだうだと話をしているだけでも面白いのも間違いがないところ。
　しかし「カクテルはいまいち」というのも忘れちゃならないのが職業病か。（笑）
　少なくともお酒はがんばっているので、再度宇和島に立ち寄るときには寄ってみよう。
