そういえば植木等が亡くなっていた
ばたばたしているうちに喪くなっていたのでした。今更ながらに合掌。
ガキの頃からテレビっ子、親や親戚もそっち業界に遠くはなかったり高校大学時分から放送作家やライターみたいなことをしていた者にとって、知れば知るほどテレビ黎明期の生きている伝説＝モンスターたちは近くて遠くて遠くて眩い、距離を置くべきいや置かざるを得ない存在として立っていた。……なぁんてことはどーでももよくて、要は中学校くらいから蔓延りはじめていたレンタルビデオ屋さんでクレイジー・キャッツやらトニー谷、エノケンロッパに金語楼痴楽三平志ん生柳昇……（なんか時代が前後してるけどまぁ語呂優先ということで） 昭和太平の演芸人たちの映像を飲み込むように見て育ってきた、ということなんです。池袋が近かったから文芸座なんかにも行ってたしね。後年、吉祥寺のGeorge's Barの佐伯さんにお会いしてから赤坂のナイトクラブでのThat's 芸能界なお話なんかも伺ってさらに認識を深めたとかいう話はいずれどこかでするかもしれません。
ちなみにiPodに「植木等スーパー・ベスト」の初回限定版についていた無責任カルタを入れているとシャッフルモードで聴いていると、時にびっくりしてしまうのですがそれはiTunesでちゃんと設定すればいいだけのお話。
そして時代は下り、植木等を歴史上の人物としてではなく血肉ある最上のコメディアンとして再認識したのは、過去の綺羅星のような名作映画ではなくバラエティ番組へのゲスト出演でもなく、実は「オヨビでない奴！」というTBSで放映されていたさして人気があるわけでなかった連続ドラマだったのです。

いやー、この番組での植木等はかっこよかった。（ちなみにヒロインは宇宙少女イコちゃん）
植木等・所ジョージ・高橋良明という稀有なスチャラカ三世代はもっともっと見ていたかったのですが、高橋良明のバイク事故による夭折にその願いも叶わず。
さすがにこれについて触れている人はいないだろうな…… と思っていたら境さんが書いてました。
さすがはバッチリ同年代。（笑）

Only works for video, not audio. Audio is almost the only use I would have for it. I use a Mac Mini for my media center, and anything I would want to watch I"m probably going to watch from there anyway. But my music or audio books are probably already going on my iPhone, and when I get home or whatever, I just want to be able to send it to my Mac Mini. I wouldn"t mind it so much if you had to pick the "corrected" word instead of it being automatic. Having to NOT chose is just dumb. Or, when you hit send, it should show the words and give you the option to send anyway. Oh, wait. Windows already does that. And you know Apple. They just HAVE to re-invent the wheel just to be different…..I mean, magical!
