金曜日の気怠さとエラー処理なんかのお話し

金曜日が気怠いのはきっと朝見てしまった藤吉久美子の無駄に媚びたテンションの高さだと思う昼下がり。
ナンシー関関も草葉の蔭で消しゴム彫りくさっているだろうて。ルイルイ。

さてコールドリーディングのお話がshi3zさんのところで出てくるとはおもわなんだということでまたもトラックバック。
なんだか仲良しさんみたいで変ですのぉ。すぐご近所なのにまだオフィスにも遊びにいったこともないのではありますが。


さて本題に。
以前マイクデバイスを使ったPS2用ゲームのシナリオを書いたことがあるのですよ。

『デカボイス』というゲームで、まさに会話の中身はコールドリーディング的な人工無脳というかなんというかを志向しておりました。


さてさて「コールドリーディングってなに？」という向きには件の『一瞬で信じこませる話術コールドリーディング』を読んでもらうとして、「どんな会話にも対応できそうな受け答えの仕方」というのにはかなり悩んだのでした。
あぁ、あの時こういった本があればもっと楽だったのに…
もっと硬い心理学や論理学の本なんかで若干あったくらいだったかなぁ。あといんちき占いの本とか。（見つけ次第リンクしますが）


さて具体的な話に戻しますと、音声入力デバイスをゲームに実装する場合には認識精度の問題で、「認識できなかった場合のエラー処理」というのがどうしても多いのですよ。
メモリも限られたPS2だし安手のマイクだしね。ハードディスクも無いから認識学習もできないし。

そしてこのエラー処理をしくじると、遊び手はものすごーく敏感に反応するのです。
最悪の場合、しらけてしまってやってくれなくなるのです。

デカボイスはプレイヤー扮する現場の刑事と本部にいる刑事とが無線でやりとりするという設定のゲームだったのですが、プレイヤーのセリフが聞き取れないときのエラー処理をそれとなく＆本部の刑事のキャラクターやシチュエーションにあわせて
「なに？　聞き取れないぞ」「もう一度言ってみてくれ」「落ち着いてゆっくり話すんだ」「なんだって？」「冷静になってもう一回頼む」「すまん、聞き漏らした。もう一度言ってみてくれ」「信じられない…　もう一度聞いてもいいか？」…
とかとか、数十のバリエーションは用意したでしょうか。

ここらへんは『シーマン』あたりだとぶっきらぼうで性格の悪いキャラクターにすることにして回避＆ゲーム性に昇華しているのでしょうし、『どこでもいっしょ』のトロだと「人間世界に慣れていないちょっと足りない（でもそこがかわいい）子猫」というかわいらしいキャラクターづけでそれを行っているのでしょう。デカボイスでは刑事という設定から、とてもまじめで真摯なやり方をせざるを得なかったというわけです。しかしこういうところで作り手の性格も透けて見えますなぁ、というのはここではどうでもいい話として。（判る人だけわかればよろしいｗ）

さて今度は一般のゲームの話にしてみますか。
NPCの台詞回しにしろGMのしゃべり方にしろ、遊び手の時間にインタラプトする際には細心の注意を払わねばならないのです。
これはファミレスなどの他のサービス業種でも一緒だと思いますが、お客様から呼ばれたときに「どうしましたか？」というのはちょっとよろしくないのですね。どうかしたから呼んでいるのだから。どうかしてなかったら楽しく遊んでるってことに気づかなければいけないというわけで。んで、「なにか不具合でもありましたか？」はそれなりによかったりするわけですがそれ以上はまた今度にでも。だって時間が無いんですもの。

そそくさとまとめると、エラー処理というか、不具合があったときの対応次第でグッドウィルが獲得できるかできないかは決まり、そのためには心理学とかは勉強せねばならないのだよなぁ、という当たり前のお話となるのでした。

そうそう。
ちなみに人工無脳といいますと、CD-ROMブーム華やかりし頃、エロCD-ROMなのにその時代としてはかなり良くできた人工無脳を搭載したということで関西ローカルのテレビ番組「大人の絵本」に出演して水玉れっぷう隊を素人の癖に食っていたこばんさんという大先達がいらっしゃいます。

僕らはみんな、こばん先生の手のひらの上で踊っている、ってことなんだよね。
