言葉にならない気持ちとメタな言葉

テレビCFの話。（なんか長井秀和みたいな書き出しだなー）

なんだか気になるCFがときどきある。
今は「レモン青汁」がそれだ。
サイトで確認すると「早く飲みたい篇」というやつらしい。

なにが気になるのかというと概略を説明せねばなるまい。
財前直美扮する女性上司が部下を送り出しつつ青汁を飲もうとしている。
飲む寸前になると部下が挨拶をしていくのでなかなか飲めない。
「頼むよ飲ませてくださいよ」というのがオチなのだが、
気になって仕方がないのがその後の部下の男の表情なのだ。

姉に対する弟のような、じゃれついているというか、小バカにしているというか、なんとも薄気味の悪い、それでいて嫌味の感じられない微妙な表情をしているのだ。

元々CFを作る側に長いこといたので、この微妙さ加減をどう演出して、どう演技指導したのか、とてもとても気になってしまうのだ。
その前にどう思いついたのだろうか。
現場で色々とやらせてみて編集室であーだこーだとセレクトして…　というのが考えられる線だとは思うのだが、こういう引っかかり方というのはしてやられた感が非常に強い。
2〜3年前のアイフルのお姉さんの絶妙な非・美人加減（not美人、というわけではないのであえて「不美人」という使用されがちなワーディングを忌避しております）もCF制作者連中の間では「あー、そこ来たぁ？　してやられた…」と話題になっていたが、それに近い感覚なのだ。

数行前に自分で書いた「なんとも薄気味の悪い」居心地の悪さというのは、言葉にすることができない表情を見せつけられたときに自分の脳内で把握する（mappingしてある）場所がないからなのだと、ふと、思った。

（そしてこの読点の微妙な打ち方は読者に対する微妙さを体感してもらおうと思ってわざと普通と違ったうち方をしているわけです。なんかメタな解説でやだなー。構造化したいよね、こういうのって。javaで折りたたむか？）

さて、ちょっと話を変えてみる。

MMORPGなどでは感情表現のコマンドが用意されていることが多い。
emoteコマンドといわれるやつだ。
/wave と打ち込むとキャラクターが手を振ったりするのが一般的だが、近頃は非常に豊富なエモートコマンドが用意されていることが多く、同じ笑うでも /smile だけではなく /cackle（甲高く笑う） /chuckle（含み笑い） /giggle（忍び笑いをする） /snicker（ほくそえむ）などがあったりもする。中には /violin などでバイオリンを弾くまねをしたりするのだ。どういうところで使うのかはよくわからんが。

これらはゲーム開発者が意図して作った感情表現であり、プレイヤーはそれらを「コマンド」として動きとその意味するところを一旦認識・把握してから、そのときの自分の感情にあわせて「コマンド」をコマンド群から選択し、分身であるキャラクターに「コマンド」を打ち込んで感情を表現しているのだ。

もったいぶった書き方に見えるかもしれないが注意して欲しい。
逆にいえば、用意された範囲でしか感情表現ができない（ように見える）ということなのだな。

（ように見える、と書いたのは、開発者側が意図していない使い方をしてプレイヤー側が勝手に遊ぶことも多いからなのだな。エモートコマンドを続けて打ちこんだりしてあたかもラジオ体操をしているように見せたりもできるしぃ）

話を元に戻す。

僕らは言葉に規定された枠の中で感情を表現してはいないだろうか。
言葉にならない気持ちは「元々から無かったもの」として扱われてはいないだろうか。

よく「アメリカ英語には肩こりという言葉がないからアメリカ人は肩が凝らない」と言われる。
その対極（対偶の真）には『言霊』という「言葉を発することにより実効を伴う」という考え方も存在する。

さて。
話をまたもすっ飛ばす。

こうしてblogを書いている僕はというと、HTMLの記述の範囲内で自分の現したい言葉の置き方を模索しつつ打ち込んでいる。（たとえばULタグを使ってちょっとインテンドさせたりね）
本当は「打ち込む」という言葉ではなく「Design」という言葉に近しいはずなのだが、それはまた別のお話。

HTMLに対してXMLという言語体系があるが（cssでもいいけど）、タグ自身のあり方を記述していくように、エモートコマンドも自分でキャラクターの動きを細かく記述しておくことも可能になるのかもしれない。（いや技術的には今すぐにでも可能だが面倒くささとのトレードオフからして無理）
仲間内だけでの符牒をつくりそれを使うことによる親近感の増大や情報伝達速度および強度の飛躍的な増大は広く知られるところだが、新しい体系による言葉の発明にはそういった可能性がいつでも潜んでいるのではあるまいか。

さて、話が元に戻る時間だ。（眠いからなのだが）

しかししかし。
「言葉」自身をも記述していくことはいつでも誰にとってでも可能なことなんだろうか。

文字本来の意味を無視した使われ方としてのAA（アスキーアート）というものは古くから存在する。
「七瀬再び」で筒井康隆がやったタイポグラフィーの遊び方や、見立てという形であればネット以前からもあるし、表意文字の成り立ちからすれば（近くは国字とかもね）それこそ数千年前から存在する、いわば人間の本性にその機能はあると言えるだろう。

（しかしamazonは便利だのぉ。本やCDの画像を取れるだけでなく残像に口紅をの抄訳とか自分で書かなくてもリンクを踏めば分かってもらえるわけで。ここら辺もアレかな。↓以下続く）

新しい定義の発明、もしくはそのものに対して意図されていなかった新しい使い方を発明することによる感覚の拡張（enhanced）がクリエイティブのひとつの柱なのかもしれない。（少なくとも僕にはそう思える）
そしてそれは動物ならぬ人間が人間たる所以なのかと。
テレビ番組の世界でもそう。別にタレント同士が自腹で豪勢な食事を奢ろう奢るまいがが、冷静に考えてみればそんなものはどうでもいいことなのだが、結果的にくだらんじゃんけん程度のミニゲームでも視聴者の目は確実に止まってしまう。これも一つの視聴態度への拡張の働きかけだろう。こんなテレビのあり方を発明したヤツはエライ。NG集だけで番組一本作った最初のヤツもエライ。どれも30年前にはだれも考えつかなかったシステムだからだ。
こうやって考えていけばネットとラジオの融合番組のシステムにしたって、いくつかの雛形はぽんぽこぽんぽんと出てくるって寸法だ。まだ誰も成功してはいないみたいだけどやりはじめりゃすぐだろうて。CLUBKING.COMの初代おしかけ編集長をやっていた時に桑原茂一さんに「Just 10 click journey」という企画を出したことがあるが、ちょうどあんな感じ。Talentedなクリエイターが同じサイトから10クリックだけの短い旅をする、すると人それぞれ全く違う所にたどり着く、たったそれだけでも話ながらやっていると面白くて仕方がないのだ。ま、当時はネット使ってる人口が今の100分の1だったから企画は結実しなかったけれども。
大体さぁ、ラジオが移動体向けだってこと忘れてるヤツが大過ぎないかぃ…（以下略）

しかし朝の時間に見かけるCMの一秒にも満たない微妙な表情に引っかかってしまいココまで長文を書いてしまったのはちょっとやるせないのではあるが。
しかしてその実態はというと、このエントリーはコメンドクサイ長文（しかもオチも感慨もなし）を書くことによって読者数を減らそうという作者の意図でもあるのだな。

ま、上述したとおりに意図は外すものでつまるところ読み方は色々あるので、上の一文を取り上げて「格闘ゲームのガードキャンセルなんてのも製作者の意図とはずした使い方で近いよねん」とか「つくりこまれた破綻という視点という意味ではゲームの裏技って後期のものはイースターエッグでもなく純粋に楽しみとして作ってたよね」とか「ほりえもんは商法が記述していたはずの制限を新たに拡張してみせたクリエイターなのだ」なぁんて読み替えることだって不可能ではないのだ。傾奇者つか。
やはりオチなし。
ただ言えることってのは、筒井康隆は色々と日本語表現をenhanceしてくれてすごいなー、ってことですか。
